Pastor Daniel Borti (Lead Pastor)

Pastor Daniel Borti has been in ministry for more than 20 years. He is an anointed preacher and intercessor who is passionate about seeing lives transformed or restored. He is a firm believer in the five-fold ministry and the manifestation of gifts of the Holy Spirit. The Lord does remarkable healings, miracles, and deliverances through his ministry.

Pastor Daniel Borti traveled widely to preach the gospel in England, Canada, the USA, Ghana, South Africa, and the Republic of Togo. He has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Cape Coast and an MA in Theology & Mission from Akrofi-Christaller Institute of Theology, Missions, and Culture, just to mention a few. He is the author of two books on Amazon: Seven Secrets to the Anointing and Winning your Battles through Prophetic Prayers.

Pastor Daniel Borti is married to Dr. Adeline Mansa Borti, and they are blessed with two children, Monique Meseneo and Makafui Daniel.

Jerry Kloostra (Associate Pastor)

Minister Jerry Kloostra was born again in his early 30s and has diligently served and walked with the Lord for over 50 years. As a believer and one who worked in the US Navy, his experience, study of the Bible, and walk with God are proof of his commitment to God’s kingdom. Mr. Jerry Kloostra is a spirit-filled believer and a prayer warrior. He loves evangelism and connecting with people.

He believes Jeremiah 33:3 (i.e., Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.) has limitless treasures for every Christian believer.

In 2021, Mr. Kloostra met Pastor Daniel Borti, and they instantly became friends. He introduced Pastor Daniel to some ministries in West Michigan and informed him about what was happening in West Michigan as far as Christianity was concerned. Mr. Kloostra and Pastor Daniel began praying together and initiated the birth of the City of Refuge Church in Grand Rapids. Mr. Kloostra believes God has wonderful things in stock for the City of Refuge Church community.
